Cultural Contradictions in Socialist Market-oriented Transition

在社会主义市场转型中,现代性特征逐步渗透到文化价值之中,从而引发文化转型,出现价值的分化和文化多元化。分化的价值和多元的文化中可能出现经济原则与政治文化目标、秩序的理性化与文化生活的非理性化、文化的主体性与工具性、传统和本土文化与现代主义和全球化文化之间的不相协调,即社会主义文化矛盾。文化矛盾的缓解机制主要包括调节自我与社会、协调各系统领域、建构文化认同和促进文化自省与交流等机制。

In socialist market-oriented transition, modernity penetrates gradually into cultural value, causing cultural transformation and cultural differentiation. Among differentiated or pluralistic cultural values, there may be socialist cultural contradictions between economic principle and political goals, between rational order and irrational culture life, between cultural subjectivity and instrumentality, between traditional culture and modern culture, between local culture and global culture. The mitigating mechanisms to cultural contradictions include adjusting self and society, making all systems harmonious, constructing cultural identity, promoting cultural self-introspection and communication.
