The purpose and significance of reader investigation in libraries were elucidated based on the fact that no overall and systematic reader investigations in many large and medium - sized libraries had been carried out in recent years. The idea for establishing the reader investigation feedback system in libraries was put forward with its contents and methods briefly introduced. The problems needing attention in implementing the reader investi-gation feedback svstem in libraries are discussed.
