摘要
本文通过词汇命名实验研究了英语复合词在英汉心理词典中的存储单位及其语义透明度的影响。主要调查了三个问题:(1)英语复合词的存储单位是什么?(2)语义透明度是否影响英语复合词的存储?(3)英语复合词的词素是否影响不同类型英语复合词的存储?通过对比分析相关数据,我们认为英语复合词是分解存储的,即英语复合词以词素的形式存储在英汉心理词典中;英语复合词的存储不受其语义透明度的影响,语义透明复合词和语义晦涩复合词的存储单位是一致的;英语复合词的词素对不同类型的复合词在英汉心理词典中的存储影响不大,语义透明复合词的词素和语义晦涩复合词的词素对其相应的复合词产生了相似的作用。
Based on the data obtained from a lexical naming experiment,this study mainly investigates how English compounds are stored in the lexicon,with a view to answering the following three questions:(1)What is the sto-rage unit of English compounds in English-Chinese bilingual mental lexicon?(2)Do the degrees of semantic trans-parency influence the storage of English compounds?(3)Do the morphemes of both semantically transparent and semantically opaque compounds influence the storage of different kinds of English compounds? The study finds that English compounds are stored as morphemes,and are not influenced by the degree of semantic transparency,and that the morphemes of both semantically transparent and semantically opaque compounds play similar roles to their corresponding compounds in the lexicon.
