矛盾的同一性和斗争性问题在马克思、恩格斯以前是没有相对、绝对之分的。矛盾的同一性是相对的,矛盾的斗争性是绝对的这一论断是由列宁首先提出,并为毛泽东所进一步发挥。矛盾的同一性和斗争性作为矛盾的两种基本属性,在一定意义上应该是同时绝对或同时相对的,在同等条件下区分为一个相对、一个绝对是片面的。

Before Marx and Engels,nobody believed that identity of contradiction is relative or absolute, either is conflict of contradiction. The statement that identity of contradiction is relative and conflict is absolute was first proposed by Lenin,which was further displayed for Mao Zedong. As the two essential attributes of con- tradiction,in a sense identity and conflict should be relative simultaneously or absolute simultaneously,and the discrimination between identity and conflict which one is relative whereas another is absolute is one-sided.
