The General Theory of Philosophy is not only the outcome of contemporary philosophical research in China ,but also is the propellant for further research. The significance of this book entails firstly that ,it promotes the reform of philosophical textbook in a great degree, secondly that what it advocates in philosophical research and thinking mode supplies us with a new viewpoint, and thirdly that it achieves a new step for Chinese Marxist research with its special way in understanding philosophy itself.
