在创办和执掌新亚书院的过程中,钱穆注重人格教育、知识教育和文化教育,提倡通识教育,提出了行政制度化、课程学术化、生活艺术化等方针。新亚精神在不同阶段表现不同,但都贯穿着钱穆弘扬中国文化的宏愿。

During the founding and supervising the New Asia College, Qian Mu emphasized personality education, knowledge education and cultural education, as well as general education. He put forward the guideline of＂administration institutionalized, making curriculums academic, leading lives artistic＂. The spirit of New Asia College meant different signification by different period, but Qian Mu＇s noble ambition of developing Chinese culture was always incarnated in it.
