摘要
在多重因素的作用下,19世纪英国爆发了科学教育与古典教育的激烈论争。论辩双方就教育目的、教学内容、教学方法与教学组织形式等广泛的领域展开激烈的论争。在论争过程中,科学教育的理念逐渐占得主动并为英国社会所接受。这次论争,对英国传统大学的改造和城市学院的建立和快速发展发挥了很大的作用。
Due to multible elements, debates arise between the science education and classic education in the 19th century regarding educational objectives, educational contents, teaching methodology, and teaching organization. In the process of debates, science education becomes gradually dominant and accepted by English. This debate plays a significant role in reforming of the traditional universities in Britain and set-up of city colleges.
