To start with, the paper discusses the core competence that resident physician should possess and the evaluation system by outlining the training objective tailored for resident physician. Then, targeting at the present deficiencies of the direct observation from the clinical assessment, the writer makes a close analysis of Mini - Clinical Evaluation Exercise （ Mini - CEX ）, in terms of its definition, procedure, and research result of reliability and validity. In the end, it reaches the conclusion that Multi - evaluation can be achieved by applying Mini - CEX.
