This paper introduces all kinds of techniques and methods of roller cone drilling at home and abroad, analyses present situation and development trend of roller cone drilling techniques applied in engineering construction, and amphasizes that in order to advance the larger diameter roller cone drilling technique, should develop multitechnical roller cone drilling technology, such as the larger diameter jetting roller cone drilling and coring roller cone drilling, etc.
