Thoughts on the Architectural Culture of"May,4"Spirits

如同春秋战国时期百家争鸣奠定了中国文化的根基一样,以"五四"运动为开端标志的新文化运动已奠定了中国现代文化的根基。本文认为:"五四"精神与建筑文化关系密不可分,在让历史碎片化、历史再度编码的工作中,伴随着"五四"新文化、我们可找寻到与新文化相匹配的中西合璧的新建筑与新"建筑青年"。本文的任务,不仅希望按"五四"精神去理解建筑文化,更在于要继承并发扬"五四"精神,服务于中国现代城市建设的文化重建事业。

＂May, 4＂ Movement, the start point of the New Culture Movement, similar to the Hundred Schools of Thought in the turbulent Spring and Autumn Period making the foundation of Chinese culture, made the foundation of modern Chinese culture. We consider that the ＂May, 4＂ spirit is inseparable to the architectural culture. We could recover the new architecture and new ＂architectural youth＂ in fragmenting and recoding the history. The task of the paper is not only to understand architectural culture in the ＂May, 4＂ spirit but also succeed and carry forward the ＂May, 4＂ spirit to serving for the culture rebuilding of modern Chinese urban construction
