岫岩玉可分为瓦沟玉和细玉两类。瓦沟玉就是通常所称的岫岩玉，是岫岩玉的代表。本文介绍了岫岩玉的矿物成分，结构构造，化学成分，物理性质和穆斯鲍尔谱，电子顺磁共振谱等主要特征。从微量元素，化学性能和物理性能等方面系统阐述了岫岩玉具有较好的医疗保健作用。
Xiuyan jade may be divided into 2 types: Wagou jade and Xi jade. Wagou jade is typical of Xiuyan jade, so it is usually called Xiuyan jade. The paper introduce some main characteristics of Xiuyan jade from following aspects:mineral composition ,texture and structure,chemical composition, physical property, Mussbauer spectrum and electronic magnetic resonance spectrum.And from psychology factor,microelement,chemical and physical performance, the medical healtth care mechanism of Xiuyan jade has been systematically expounded.It suggests that Xiuyan jade has a fairly good medical health care effect.
