Lexical cohesion is an important cohesive device to cohere an English text. Based on cohesion theory of Halliday and Hoey, illustrating the cohesive effects and form features of the two types of lexical cohesion,namely,reiteration and collocation in business English texts from western journal will help readers to get a better understanding of the relationship between lexical meanings and coherence,and the communicative intention of a business English text.
