Scientific inquiry is the gap of chemistry curriculum reformation. The characteristic of chemistry, which is "on the base of experiment", determines that chemical experiment is the important form of scientific inquiry. This paper introduces microscale chemistry experiment and scientific inquiry, and attempts to show the practice of carrying out scientific inquiry by means of microscale chemistry laboratory in basical chemistry experiment teaching in higher normal institution,and puts forward ways of carrying out.
