品种丰产势的提出及其应用

PRODUCTIVE POTENTIAL AND ITS APPLICATION IN VARIETIES' REGIONAL TRIAL

一个品种的好坏,可用这个品种获得高产的可能性的大小来衡量。这种可能性的大小在数学上可用品种产量分布曲线中超过某一产量标准(如对照品种的平均产量)的积分面积来表示。在区域试验中,由于参试品种的平均产量水平和稳定性能的不同,各个品种均有其特定的产量分布曲线。因此,对于各个品种均可求出相应的高产积分面积或累积概率。本文提出用品种超过对照平均产量的产量累积概率值作为品种高产稳产综合性能好坏的一个指标,并提出在各品种参试地点完全相同的情况下,用一个相应的参数即品种丰产势评价品种。

A new approach to evaluating varieties in the sense of productivityand stability is proposed in this paper.It is suggested that the producti-vity of a variety be measured by the probability in which the varietyobtains higher yields than the check.Mathmatically,this probability canbe expressed by the integral area of upper tail with its truncating point atthe check's average yield in the yield distribution curve of the varietyconsidered.On condition that all varieties were tested in the same locat-ions,this probability would also be evaluated by a parameter so-calledVPP)i.e.variety's productive potential),which is proposed in this paperand expressed asVPP=(Xi-ck)/Siin which xi=the average yield of the ith variety,(?)=the average yield of the check,and si=the standard deviation of the ith variety.The methodology proposed in this paper was identified with the resultof Tai,C.C.(1971)by using his data from a potato regional trial(1965—1966),and is characterized by simplicity in analysis or calculation andclarity in result.
