改革开放以来的中国文化史研究

An Overview of the Studies of History of Chinese Cultures since the Reform and Opening-up

30年来的中国文化史研究,由"文化"的定义发端,然后推及文化史的范畴、学科范围、研究对象、方法论特点等方面,以"专史说"和"范式说"较有影响。学界关于中国文化史基本特质、基本规律的探析,主要通过文化通史类著作及通论性文章体现出来。呈现中国文化纷繁鲜活的生命样态,是中国文化史研究的重要成就所在。划分区域研究、断代研究或专题研究,是这方面探索的几种主要形式。中国文化史研究经历了辛苦探索之路,其间尤具活力的是"社会文化史"研究、"民间文化史"研究的潜沉推进。最大缺憾是少见有鲜明个性特色的专家之作。中国文化史研究的深化,除了博采异国之长,更应该注重从丰厚的中国传统史学中去吸取理论营养。

Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC, China has witnessed a fantastic spurt in studies of culture and history of culture which have yielded bountiful academic researches. The theoretical studies of history of culture firstly focus on definitions of ＂culture＂, then on domain of history of culture, scope of the discipline,object of the research and methodology among which ＂ studies of history of particular subjects＂ and ＂studies of historical paradigm＂ are the most influential. The author here argues that history of culture does not focus on history itself, rather on ＂history in light of culture. ＂ Over the past 30 years, there have been rich researches into the fundamental characteristics and principles of the history of Chinese cultures, bringing about quite a large amount of works and papers on studies of culturel history. The most important achievements in this field are the versatile expressions of Chinese cultures. Regional research, dynasty research or particular subject research are the major forms of research. After undergoing unsettling ＂cold＂ and ＂hot＂ times,the study of Chinese cultural history is still on its way with the thriving development in ＂history of social culture＂ and ＂history of folk culture＂. It is also necessary to point out that distinct and unique researches are still in short. Hence, in order to deepen the study of Chinese cultural history, we should learn from the rich traditional Chinese historical studies as well as from foreign studies.
