卢前是继吴梅之后,中国现代散曲史上重要的曲学理论家和作家。他现存的大量散曲作品和曲学理论为丰富中国现代散曲学作出了积极贡献。他的散曲创作目的在于,试图以自身特有的艺术才华,牵制散曲在民国彻底衰微的速度;他的日记体散曲产生于他广泛的社会活动,本色清丽为主,豪放诙谐为辅;放言落纸,气韵天成,工稳自然是他散曲作品的主要风格;他的散曲作品具有很强的史料价值、人文价值和审美价值。
In Chinese modem history of Sanqu, Lu Qian ( 1905 - 1951) is, after Wu Mei ( 1884 - 1939), another important theorist and writer. The existing works and theories of Sanqu of his have greatly enriched Chinese modem Sanqu research. With his artistic talent, he creates Sanqu to prevent the rapid declination of this art during the period of Republic of China ( 1912 - 1949). Lu's Sanqu in the style of diary comes out of his keen participation in all kinds of social activities, the main features of which can be summarized as fresh, natural and prosodic. His works is of great historical, cultural and aesthetic value.
