The 2009 China Navigation Day activities will kick off on July 11

4月26日，中国航海日组委会常务副主任、交通运输部副部长徐祖远在国务院新闻办公室举行的2009年中国航海日活动新闻发布会上介绍说，今年“7·11”航海日活动以“庆祝新中国60周年·迎接航海新挑战”为主题，将组织众多的展览、宣传、纪念、表彰、学术研讨和群众文化体育活动，在全国各地各行业陆续开展。

On April 26, executive deputy director of the organizing committee of China Navigation Day, deputy minister of Transport of PRC Xu Zuyuan said at a press conference of China's maritime activities in 2009, with 'celebrate the new China 60th anniversary·meet the new challenges of navigation' as its theme, numerous activities will be organized and be carried out in the various sectors throughout the country during this year's Navigation Day.This year's event was unprecedented in the background of the whole society's concern about the nation's maritime interests and the development of China's marine cause.A celebratory assembly will kick off the 2009 China Navigation Day in the northeastern Chinese city of Dalian on July 11.
