On Disappearance of Characteristic Styles in Cities

通过对我国城市面临的“特色危机”问题的剖析，指出城市特色风貌是城市历史、文化的积淀，忽视地域文化、历史文脉的延续是特色失落的内在根源，从而引出问题———城市特色风貌研究的紧迫性和重要性。

Through the analysis of “the Characteristic crisis' which Chinese cities face, this paper points out that the Characteristic styles of cities are accumulation of their history and culture. The immanent cause of the disappearance lies in the ignorance of regional culture′s and history′s continuation, which draws out the urgency and significance of research on characteristic styles of cities.
