A Summary of the "Symposium on the Buildup of Periodicals and the Development of Archaeology and in Celebration of the Publication of 500 Issues of the Journal Kaogu"

The Kaogu,starting publication on 10 January 1955,will issue its 500th number in May 2009. To strengthen the buildup of periodicals,accelerate the development of archaeology and celebrate the publication of 500 issues of Kaogu,the Archaeological Publications of the Institute of Archaeology,CASS held the "Symposium on the Buildup of Periodicals and the Development of Archaeology and in Celebration of the Publication of 500 Issues of the Journal Kaogu" on 3 March 2009. More than 50 persons attended the meeting,including the heads of over 20 archaeological,antiquarian and museum journals and newspapers and related researchers of IA,CASS. They celebrated the publication of 500 issues of Kaogu and discussed the buildup of periodicals,the development of archaeology and other problems.
