摘要
本文从多媒体的发展趋势和工程勘察设计行业计算机应用的现状着眼，阐述了多媒体技术进入工程设计行业的必然性和必要性，及其必将为工程设计领域的管理机制、运作模式和设计技术带来巨大的变革。文章还对工程设计领域发展多媒体应用存在的现实问题进行了分析与思考，提出了做法和步骤。
