Objective: To study primarily the correlation between the blood oxygen--metabolizing enzymes and the mild acute mountain sickness score in healthy adults rapidly ascended to high altitudes. Methods: The blood level of oxygen--metabolizing enzymes of the healthy adults whom were exposed acutely to 4,600m high altitudes were measured, and features of acute manifestation to high altitude were recorded and the assessment of the results was conducted to the correlation between the both .sections. Results: There was no obvious correlation between the GSH, GSH--PX, MDA, AOD index and the mild acute mountain sickness score; on the contrary, the CAT was significant. The c--AMP was negative significantly correlated with the score. The results suggested that mild acute mountain sickness was not correlated to the blood oxygen--metabolizing enzymes by linear correlative analysis Coclusions:When the healthy adults are acutely exposed to high altitude the level of CAT or c--AMP (blood oxygen--metabolizing enzymes) is strongly correlated with the mild acute mountain sickness score.
