平江起义是在中国共产党的组织和领导下发动的。平江起义中党的领导作用体现在三个方面:中共中央和湖南省委的指示与领导,在起义中起了决定性的作用;湘军独立第五师以彭德怀、黄公略、邓萍等同志为核心的党组织,在起义中发挥了坚强的战斗堡垒作用;平江地方党组织的有力配合与支持,促进了起义的胜利和发展。

Pingjiang uprising was lead and organized by the Chinese Communist Party. The party＇s leadership in Pingjiang uprising reflected in three aspects. The instruction and leadership of the CPC Central Committee and Hunan Provincial Party Committee played a decisive role in the uprising. The party organizations of Hunan five independent division whose core was made up by Peng Dehuai, Huang Gonglue, and Deng Ping played a strong role in the fighting bastion. The strong organizations and support of Pingjiang local party promoted the development and the victory of the intifada.
