企业规模与R&D活动关系的实证研究——以山东省民营高新技术企业为例

An Empirical Study on the Relation between Enterprise Size and R&D Input and Output:Case Study of Private High-tech Enterprises in Shandong Province

通过对山东省民营高新技术企业进行问卷调查获得的数据,采用不同的回归模型考察企业规模与企业R&D投入及产出之间的关系,得出的结论是:企业规模与R&D投入之间存在显著的U型函数关系;企业规模与R&D产出之间不存在相关关系。这一结论与熊彼特假说并不吻合,这表明就山东省民营高新技术企业而言,大企业与小企业相比较并未在R&D活动上显示出明显的优势。

Using data obtained from a questionnaire on private high-tech enterprises in Shandong province, we test the relationship between enterprise size and R＆D input and output with different regression models. A U-shaped curve is found for R＆D input on enterprise size whereas no correlation is found between R＆D output and enterprise size. Such findings are not consistent with the Schumpeterian Hypotheses, which implies that big private high-tech enterprises in Shandong province do not possess obvious advantages over small private high-tech enterprises in R＆D input and output.
