林清玄试图通过散文创作为现代都市人寻找到精神上的家园,他的创作经历了三个时期。最后,他找到的是禅宗。然而,当他的创作服膺于宗教精神的时候,恰恰是他的创作失去文学家园的开始,同时也是其独立的文学人格和自由精神被削弱的开始。

Lin Qingxuan attempted to search for the homestead of heart for the modem urbanite through his proses. His writings can be studied from three different period of time. Since he gained an insight into the Zen Buddhism, he was in obedience to Zen, he began to lose his homestead of literature. And that has also made him come to lose the independent personality of literature and free spirit.
