光绪年间谢家福与李金镛、郑观应、经元善等人的结拜,是江浙地区洋务集团形成过程中的重要事件。谢家福收藏的结拜"兰谱"是这一事件的重要信物,记载了各位谱主的生平及其与谢家福交往关系的形成过程。

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Xie Jiafo,Li Jinyong, Zhcng Guanying, Jing Yuanshan and some other fig- ures became sworn brothers. It proved to be a significant event in the history o the formation and development of the Western- ization Group in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang region. The Records of Sworn Brothers collected by Xie Jiafo is a reliable source of great importance recording such an event, which notes down every relevant person＇s family background and life and their re- spective relationships with Xie Jiafo.
