Scorpion toxin Structure and Function Research Progress

蝎毒素是一类具有特殊生物活性的多肽物质。近年来,国内外对蝎毒素的结构与功能研究取得了巨大成就,已测得的蝎毒素结构已有百余种之多,α/β模体基本结构的确立,为蝎毒素的进一步研究和新药开发提供了广阔的前景,倍受学术界的重视;结合结构特点,对其功能进行研究,取得了不错的成绩。

Scorpion toxin is one kind of polypeptide substances which has specially biological active. In recent years, both home and a-broad have achieved great accomplishment to study the structure and function of scorpion toxin. The detected result had showed that scorpion toxin has more than one hundred kinds. The scorpion of α/β is a useful molecular scaffolds for design and engineering of small proteins. This strategy not only proves to be a powerful method to investigate the structure/function relationship study of scorpion toxin, but also has the potential therapeutic interests by development of polypeptide pharmaceutical.
