The Change of Modern Socio-economic of Yunnan after Sino-French War

中法战争后的三十余年间,云南出现资本主义殖民机构和经济组织,这是法英侵略云南的产物,又是云南经济由传统向近代过渡的结果。在这一阶段,自然经济解体,工业文明初见端倪;近代企业在轻工业、矿业等部门产生;滇南、滇中经济发展圈形成,其经济推动力显现;交通运输改观与省际经济区域形成;近代云南被卷入资本主义世界市场。云南社会经济变迁,为20世纪二三十年代的经济发展乃至建国后的经济起飞奠定了基础。

Thirty-odd years after Sino-French War, Colonial institutions and Economic organizations appeared in Yunnan. It is not only the product of British and French aggression, but also the result of Yunnan economic transition from tradition to modem. During this period, natural economy disintegrated, and industrial civilization appeared; modern enterprises in the department of light industry and mining industry came into being ; circle of economic development in the south and the center of Yunnan took shape, meanwhile the economic driving force began to be evident; the improvement of transportation and inter-provincial economic regions formed. Modern Yunnan was involved into the capitalist world market. The socioeconomic change of Yunnan laid the foundation of economic development in 1920s-30s and the economic take-off after the founding of PRC.
