叙事的艺术——浅析《看不见的人》的形式

美国黑人作家拉尔夫·埃利森的小说《看不见的人》,无论是题旨意蕴还是艺术魅力都极富特色。它是现代叙事模式与传统叙事模式完美结合的典范。本文着重从叙事顺序和视角两方面,对《看不见的人》进行艺术分析,旨在探明作品的叙事技巧,并力图从这个侧面揭示出拉尔夫·埃利森创作的整体艺术风貌和艺术价值。

Ralph Ellison is an African-American writer.His novel Invisible Man is widely accepted as his master piece and brings him enormous fame.The novel is characterized in its theme 'invisibility' which fully reflects Ellison's neutral stance towards violence and it features its artistic value buried between lines as well.Meanwhile,it is exemplary for perfectly combining conventional narrative with the modern one.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore the narrative techniques employed in Invisible Man through the critical analysis of the text by means of order and point of view for the purpose of getting a glimpse of the art and the craftsmanship of his writing.
