Inter language fossilization is one of the important characteristics of inter language, which restricts the improvement of English learners＇ proficiency level and hinders English learners from further studies. The study on inter language fossilization has become an important area in second language acquisition with obvious practical significance. On the basis of analysis of the reasons for fossilization and its manifestations, the paper discusses the enlightenment of fossilization on English teaching and studying in our country.
