摘要
德国功能翻译理论认为,翻译的实质是有目的地跨文化交际,译文在分析原文的基础上,以实现译文的预期功能为目的。作为信息文本和感染文本结合体的酒店,对外推介材料英译时,译者应依据翻译目的和翻译纲要,结合译文读者的背景知识、对译文的期待和交际需要,采用删减、改译、编译等适应性手段,从而实现酒店对外推介的信息功能和感染功能,达到吸引更多海外旅客的最终目的。
Functionalist translation theory holds that translation is a purposeful cross-cultural communication, in which the target text should achieve its anticipated function and skopos on the basis of an analysis of the source text. In translating hotel introduction, the translator can take adaptive method in consideration of the translation purpose and translation brief, sociocultural background and expectations of the target readers as well as communicative needs to realize its informative and operative functions with a view to attracting more guests.
