Origin of Cultural Character of Young Mao Zedong

青年毛泽东文化性格的形成有三个主要来源:一是中国传统文化,主要包括民族忧患意识、理想主义、"力行"意识、"尚变"思想、"中和"传统等;二是湖湘文化;三是西方文化思潮。这三方面文化意识相互作用和影响,在毛泽东身上留下了深深的烙印,清晰地解读出青年毛泽东对贯汇宇宙大本大源的探寻之路。

There are three main origins to form the cultural character of young Mao Zedong： first, traditional Chinese culture including awareness of national misery, idealism, ＂practical＂ awareness, ＂seeking for changes＂, ＂harmony＂ tradition and so on; second, Huxiang culture; third, western culture trend. Mao Zedong was deeply influenced by the mutual effect of the three aspects which clearly interprets his way of exploration for the origin of the universe.
