Discussion about the Import in GDP Accounting Identity

某《西方经济学》教材把GDP核算恒等式中的进口解释为只用于最终产品,即居民消费、投资、政府支出、出口,实际上这是进口产品中用于中间投入的部分为零时的特殊情形。更为一般的情形是有一部分进口产品作为中间投入进入生产过程,其价值全部转移到国内最终产品中,本文利用投入产出表给出了证明。

Some textbook such as Western Economics explains the import in GDP accounting identity as only applicable to the final product, i.e. resident expenditure, investment, government expenditure and export. This is in fact the unusual case that intermediate input of import product is zero. The more ordinary case is that some import products are used as intermediate input, thus the value of those import products is transferred into domestic final products. This paper demonstrates this conclusion by making use of input-output table.
