This paper introduces a number of the main implementation methods for the Tunable Dispersion Compensation （TDC） and makes comparisons between them. Then it makes a detailed description of the applications of the TDC modules in various scenarios in DWDM systems and gives the relevant application models. Finally, it summarizes the development goal of the TDC technology in DWDM system applications.
