This article, based on critical discourse analysis and functional grammar, aims to analyze the news that Russia recognizes the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by main media of China, Russia, UK, US and Georgia. This paper is written in the point of transitivity , modality, direct or indirect speech, and classification. And it manifests the difference of ideology and standpoint. Readers should critically get information from the media.
