一半像邪魔 一半像小孩——论《蝴蝶君》中东方主义者的东方印象

Half Devil and Half Child——On the Eastern Impression of the Orientalist in Mr. Butterfly

自从东西方接触以来,西方就展开了对东方的想象和建构。东方的形象,虽然在东方主义的漫长历史中形态各异,但总体看来,东方主义幻想中的东方形象又具有一定的模式性和持续性。本文以电影《蝴蝶君》为例,结合东方主义历史中发生的典型事件,分析被模式化了的东方形象。对应于东方主义者的矛盾心态——对东方征服的贪欲与曲解的憎恶,"一半像邪魔一半像小孩"正是模式化东方形象的最好表述。

When East met West, the West started to imagine and create the East. Although the East was given various images during the long history of Orientalism, all of the images which the Orientalist fantasized had their own permanent model in general. Combining the typical affairs which happened in the history of the Orientalism, the text takes the movie Mr. Butterfly as an example to analysis the Eastern images which were modularized. As the ambivalent attitude of the West towards the East the greediness of conquering the East whereas the detestation and misunderstanding of the East, ＂Half Devil and Haft Child＂ is the most felicitous description of the modularized image of the East.
