In January and February of 2009, the export decreased by 27% and 32% compared with last month, and decreased by 20% and 39% compared with last year, the worst since this century. According to the forecast from OFF-Highway research, in 2009, the sales of International Construction Machinery will decline by another 12.6%, based on the 12% drop in 2008. North America, Europe, Japan and other markets will come down, except for China with 5% growth. Therefore, Chinese Government promptly issued a series of plans to stimulate economics, and constituted an investment plan about four trillion RMB in the first phase, which had a positive effect on Chinese economic growth and the development of construction machinery industry.
