摘要
美国高校通识教育的源起及其发展至今有一百多年的历史,其教育理念和实践充分体现了美国的思想政治教育特色。当今我国许多高校也在实施通识教育,在通识教育的视野下,我国高校的思想政治教育存在着教育外在化的缺失即重视"何以为生"而放弃了"为何而生"的教育。同时,在经济全球化背景下,高校教育存在着谋生手段为"有限目的"与人的自由全面发展为"无限目的"的矛盾。本文从这一背景出发,对美国高校通识教育的本质、特征及其通识教育中的思想政治教育特色及功能进行分析,旨在为我国高校思想政治教育提供有益的借鉴。
The origin and the development of American general education have a history of more than 100years. The concept and practice of that education embody the characteristics of American ideological and political education. Nowadays, many universities in China also carry out the general education. In China ,we pay more attention to the education of "what are we lived on" rather than "why do we live". Thanks to the economic globalization , there is a contradiction between the "limited purpose'of making a living and the "endless purpose" of people's overall development inside the high education, from this viewpoint of this background,this thesis analyses the nature and features of American general education as well as the ideological and political education and the way to implement.
