This paper dealt with the concept and connotation of urban sustainable development, analysed the main environmental problems existing in the sustainable development of Guiyang City. Based on the causes and features of these environmental problems, the corresponding measures were suggested. It will provide some scientific base for accelerating the sustainable development of Guiyang city.
