Etiopathogenisis and Treatmen of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo

良性阵发性位置性眩晕（BPPV）是头部运动到某一特定位置时诱发的短暂的眩晕发作,是一种常见的自限性前庭周围性疾病。BPPV的病因目前尚未完全明确,可能与头外伤、迷路炎、椎基底动脉供血不足、耳手术、内淋巴积水、前庭神经炎、中耳病变等有关。治疗可采用手法复位法;对于保守治疗效果不理想的顽固病例可以施行外科手术治疗。

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo （ BPPV ） is short vertigo evoked when the head moves to a certain position ,which is a self-limited and common vestibular peripheral disease. The etiological factor of BPPV is not clear completely at present. BPPV may be triggered by a head injury, infectious labyrinthitis, vertebro-basilar insufficiency, after ear surgery, endolymphatic hydrops, vestibular neuritis, or middle ear disease. Treatment can use specific therapeutic maneuvers; operations can be performed when conservative treatment is not ideal.
