ESP理论视角下的医学英语教学

Medical English Teaching Viewed from ESP Perspective

医学英语是大学英语课程的重要组成部分。掌握好医学英语能为医学生在专业领域的发展及深造打下坚实的基础。然而目前医学英语教学基本上是沿袭普通英语教学的做法，无法体现专业英语所特有的特点。本文简单介绍了专门用途英语理论及专业英语与普通英语的关系。依托专门用途英语理论，从师资、教材、教法方面，分析如何改进和提高医学英语教学质量。

Medical English has an important position in college English education. Mastenng medical English can lay a solid foundation for the medical students＇ development in their special fields. Since medical English teaching has been by and large following the practice of general English education, it is hard to reflect the teaching characteristics of its own. The paper introduces readers to ESP theory, and interprets the relation- ship between English for specific purpose and English for general purpose. Based on English for specific pur- pose theory, from the aspects of teacher＇s quality, teaching materials and teaching methods, the paper presents advices on how to improve medical English teaching.
