Yunnan-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation in the Context of Globalization and Regionalization

在全球化区域化背景下,积极拓展与东盟国家的高等教育合作是云南参与中国-东盟自由贸易区建设和大湄公河次区域合作的重要领域,并具有良好的环境条件和广泛的合作空间。当前形势下,一是要整合资源建设以昆明为中心的面向东盟的国际教育基地;二是采取多样化的形式合作办学,并大力发展留学生教育;三是加强重点和特色学科建设,提高高等教育国际化水平。

In the context of globalization and regionalization, further development of Yunnan - ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation becomes extremely important along with Yunnan＇s participation in the CAFTA construction and GMS cooperation. Now the situation of cooperation is favorable. It is proposed that international education bases oriented to ASEAN be established via resources reallocation, with Kunming as the center, that diversified forms of cooperative education be promoted, highlighting the education for international students, and that higher education be improved by international standard, taking full advantage of the preponderant discipline and distinctive disciplines of Yunnan.
