摘要
与普通英语相比,商务英语无论在词汇、句法、语篇等方面都有自身的语言特点。本文拟从词汇、句法两个角度对商务英语的语言特点做初步探讨,旨在发现其语言特殊性及对商务英语语言教学的指导意义。同时,本文讨论了商务英语的学科定位,认为:在本科阶段,商务英语的目标是培养懂得一定商务知识、可以用外语从事跨文化交际的商务人才;在硕士阶段,商务英语研究应该以语言学理论为基础、以商务环境为背景的理论研究。离开了语言学理论,其研究将很难深入。
Different from General English, Business English （henceforth, BE） has its own attributes in terms of its vocabulary, sentence structure, and discourse structure. This paper makes a study on BE from two aspects-vocabulary and sentence structure, with an aim to finding its special characteristics. Meanwhile, the paper discusses the course construction of BE and claims that at the bachelor level, the objective of BE is to develop the talents who have a good command of English and the basic business knowledge and can fulfill their business activities; and that at the postgraduate level, the objective of BE is to carry out relevant researches under business environment with a solid foundation of linguistic theories.
