Protection of vulnerable groups in harmonious society——make legal aid a lever to achieve social equity in essence

和谐社会作为一种政治理想,要求社会中各群体都能获得足够的生存空间。指出和谐社会建设需要实质公平,法律援助是专门为弱势群体设计的弥补自身不足的工具,通过它弱势群体得以用较少的投入换取与"强势群体"公平利用法律来维护自身权益的机会,并提出和谐社会背景下完善法律援助体制的途径。

As a political ideal, harmonious society should be such one, that all social groups have adequate living space. The paper pointed out that building harmonious society needs to realize the social equity in essence. Legal aid is designed for vulnerable groups as a total to make up the lack in theirself through which they may invest less money to acquire the same chance, that the ＂strong groups＂ own by properly using the laws, so as to protect their own fights and interests. Then it put forward the ways to perfect the legal aid system under the background of harmonious society.
