文学作品的翻译不可避免要面对如何跨越文化缺省的问题。以《哈利.波特与魔法石》苏农汉译本为例,认为采取直译加注、意译、音译、删除、归化策略,可以对原文中的文化缺省进行重构。

Cultural default is a challenge that translators inevitably confront with in translating literary works. By using examples fromHarry Potter and the Philosopher＇s Stone translated by Su Nong, the author explains that translators can adopt flexible and effective compensation strategies： literal plus annotation - added technique, sense- transparent technique, transliteration, delete technique and TL culture oriented technique to solve this problem.
