The effective reservoirs are the reservoirs with industrial oil production capacity under existing technology conditions.The physical property cut-off of effective reservoirs mainly refers to the cut-off of three parameters of porosity,permeability and oil saturation.In this paper,methods on determing the physical property cut-off of effective reservoirs have discussed in detail.They are the testing method,the empirical statistical method and the oil occurrence method etc.Due to the principles and information which those methods based on are different,the conclusions would be various.In practice,it＇s better to select several suitable methods according to existing test data,and give the physical property cut-off of effective reservoirs a comprehensive assessment.
