摘要
《现代大学英语》这套教材有着丰富的修辞格,文章对其精读教材五、六册中的修辞格进行了探索与研究,让学生领略到语言美,激发他们的学习兴趣,提高他们的修辞素养。
There are various and comprehensive figures of speech in Contemporary College English （Intensive reading）. This paper illustrates the usage of frequently - used figures of speech in book 5 and 6. Studying figures of speech can make students appreciate the beauty of language, thus promote their interest in learning English, and improve their rhetoric attainment.
