以6-叔丁基邻甲酚为主要原料,与二氯化硫在环己烷溶剂中反应,合成抗氧剂736,即4,4'-硫代双(6-叔丁基邻甲酚)。确定了最佳工艺条件为:以环己烷为溶剂,在反应温度18～22℃,反应时间3h,6-叔丁基邻甲酚与二氯化硫物质的量比为2.0:1.05,溶剂与6-叔丁基邻甲酚体积比为3.0:1.0。在此条件下进行合成的抗氧剂736收率达到82%以上,超过文献值13%。产物结构经红外光谱和元素分析确证。

Antioxidant 736, i. e. 4,4′- thiobis （6 - tert - butyl - o - cresol）, was prepared from 6 - tert - butyl - o - cresol and sulfur dichloride in cyclohexane. Effect of the reaction conditions on the product yields was investigated and the optimal synthetic conditions were obtained. The optimal conditions were as follows： cyclohexane as solvent, reaction temperature 18 - 22℃, reaction time 3 h, molar ratio of 6 - tert - butyl - o - cresol to sulfur dichloride 2.0 ： 1.05, the volume ratio of solvent to 6 - tert - butyl - o - cresol 3.0：1.0 . The yield of antioxidant 736 was over 82%. It was above literature data 13%. The structure of the object product was verified by IR spectrum and elementary analysis.
