Globalization has become a trendy buzzword for many people, for others it is a provocative term, but for the textile industry it has been part and parcel of daily business for many years. It is not at all unusual for a garment to travel almost all the way round the globe before it reaches the - hopefully satisfied - end-user. This reservation is expressed from the consumer' s viewpoint and has implications for the entire textile chain.
