世界鱼粉供不应求，蛋白饲料日趋短缺，开发蛋白饲料资源势在必行。动物加工废弃物变为饲料的技术不高，但资源较为分散，适宜较小规模开发；菜、棉籽饼粕脱毒技术可行，但无经济效益；可供开发的动物饲料种类较多，但要形成一定规模，时机尚未成熟；微生物发酵生产单细胞蛋白和氨基酸，其技术日趋成熟。

It is very important and necessary to develop resources of protein feeds because of shortage of fish meal and protein feeds in the world.The animals processing residues can easily be turned into feeds,but only in small scale development because of resources dispersion.In the detoxifiaction of rapeseed and cottonseed cake,its technique is feasible,but no economic benefit.Many kinds of animal protein resources may be developed,but there are some problems in forming industrial production.The single cell protein and amino acids can be produced by microbic fermentation and its technique is ripe,but the market is becoming more competitive day by day.
