摘要
介绍了视频点播概念和机顶盒的作用，详细分析了机顶盒缓冲器发生空闲或溢出时的信道传输带宽要求，并得出一些重要结论。
In this paper, the concept of VOD and the function of STB are introduced. And the change of channel transmission bandwidth is analysed in detail when the bufferin the STB is in overflow or starvation. Furthermore some important conclusions are drawn.
